We worked with Gavin Steenwyk of Encompass Realtors in late 2018 to buy our first home. Gavin was extremely helpful and thorough in listening to our requests for a house and helping us work within our budget and timeline. In fact, on our very first meeting, Gavin found and suggested the home that we would later buy. He was also found several other options for us and arranged 3-4 different viewings of possible homes for within the next 10 days. He was incredibly prompt in passing on paperwork and communicating to us about the project, and he helped us to close on our house in record time, even when we had to renegotiate the price slightly. Overall, Gavin was a fantastic realtor to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable about the process, able to answer every questions and meticulous in handling our paperwork and helping us to understand all parts of our contract. His swift communication and helpful followup made it easy for us to coordinate a quick purchase with minimum hassle, and he continued to provide follow-up help after the actual purchase by helping us on our moving day and checking it with us over the next few months to make sure we didn't have any other questions. We met Gavin when he sold our friends house last year. When we contacted him, he came right out the next day. He had all the paperwork ready. The photographer came the next day. And then it was listed. The video with pictures was fabulous! We were impressed. We had 3 shows the first week. Within 8 days, we had accepted a bid. Gavin did a great job keeping us informed on what was happening with the process. He made it very simple for us, because we had never sold a house before. He made a very stressful time for us a lot easier. He couldn't help us with buying our new house because our new house is 150 miles away from our old house. He did recommend a nice realtor to help us find our new house. He was at the closing and even brought us a gift. It was a real nice picture of our house that he sold. I would recommend him to everyone!

Gavin is very knowledgeable about house styles, as far as what is typical for certain home types and ages. He is also very current on the housing market and knows approximate prices for similar homes around the area. He handled so much of our homebuying process and took so much stress off of us. He is highly available and cares only about your satisfaction and happiness. We loved working with Gavin and strongly recommend buying your home with Gavin!

Friendly, Helpful, Knowledgeable, Responsive, yet not "Pushy". Gavin helped us sell our empty lot quickly and at a higher price than we would have ever hoped for (we made a nice profit on it). He walked us through the entire process, even coming with us to closing. (Working with Gavin made the whole experience very positive & relatively easy).
